Ice conditions improved with a low temperature of 23° this morning. Maple syrup weather is in the 7 day forecast, with daily highs above freezing and below 32° for overnight lows. Not the worst weather. Just kind of March-like. They took away the teens later in the week, but we’re still going to get down into the low 20s. Most ice measurements taken today were between 6”and 9” of ice. All 3 of the Accesses on this side of Upper Little Bay de Noc are good, but remember if using The Kipling Public Landing you’ll likely encounter that heave. Crossing it has become very treacherous as some of it has opened up. Use extreme caution.

Fishing reports today were better than the Sunday Weekend Wrap-Up Reports of a minimal bite, likely because of the ice angling pressure since Thursday. Which I’m sure will happen again this coming weekend too. But for now, it’s somewhat of a ghost town out there and you don’t have to be next to anybody.

This 28” Walleye was released to see another day! We love when you share pictures from your trip to Little Bay de Noc with us! Blade’s Live Well Album Grows With every submission. Thanks for the picture, Tony!

Increasing your odds,
