Hump Day On da Bay

Water on the ice after yesterday’s drainage was minimal by this morning. However, by later in the morning, above-normal temperatures made for another sloppy day on the bay. One more night barely above freezing, and then the mercury begins to drop in our favor again. This warm weather pattern has certainly increased the feeding activity. Let’s hope the feeding continues. Another weather system arriving through Friday may accumulate 3-5 inches of wet snow, followed by freezing temperatures into the weekend. This could mean some rough and rocky travel. Today’s picture is a view looking south towards the narrows of Gladstone as the morning sun evaporates water into the sky. The bay is alive and always changing.
