My ride to center reef yesterday afternoon was a 180° difference from today. From 2”-2’ of water on the ice 20 hours ago, today to my surprise, areas that water was over my boot on center is now hard as a rock without any sub layer of water between ice layers. Ever changing pressure cracks have laid down bit, but use caution crossing them. The snow drifts approaching the pressure crack running across the bay from the yellow gate access to the East has water under a thin layer of frozen slush. So that would suck if you didn’t know about it. And will certainly change again tomorrow. 6-9” of ice measured today. The next three or four days have temperatures conducive for gaining some good ice thickness.
