The first day of 2025 on Little Bay de Noc was a hit. Anglers were out on the ice enjoying temperatures finally below freezing. Ahh, the sound of ice forming again. After the 4 day heat wave, ice held up remarkably well. Firm and measuring 5-6”. The cold temperatures in the extended forecast will be the making of an ice season anglers have been long waiting for. I’m preparing for our first overnight guests on the bay next week. Details about ice conditions and activities on the Noc will be posted daily from here on out.
