What a beautiful calm morning of 30°. Reporting from the Days River Landing today. It’s going to be a great day to be on the ice. Snowmobile and wheeler traffic is still hanging in there. We got colder than they expected last night which firmed ice up good. Hopefully these nights coming up in the teens will give us a couple more inches and expand the playing field a little bit.
Tuesday into Wednesday the walleye bite slowed down with limited action on jig rods, but they’re still picking up some eyes on tip ups. The bite has picked up in the last 18 hours though! Perch fishermen continue to fill the frying pan, but I’m not hearing of any limits being taken. Anticipating an incredible weekend of fishing coming up!
