Ice has slowly been adding strength this past week. Single digits tonight and teens for highs over the weekend will only make it better. The ice has been shifting so there’s a heave if your coming out of the Kipling Landing and traveling north on the Bay. This crack, that has pushed up some ice, extends from the west about a 1/4 mile north of Landing scurrying south east towards the Coal Docks. Some anglers have found different spots to cross. I went out one way and had to come back another because the heave keeps building. Use extreme caution navigating the cracks and heaves.
Everyday more anglers are hitting the Bay. Fishing reports have been very good.
