The warm temperatures and driving rain has moistened the landings and the pressure cracks. Which is unfortunate, because this is literally the best 6 inches of black, solid and consistent ice we’ve had in a long time. Pressure cracks are not favorable to be around as the flowing water and the steady rain has melted there edges, resulting in some open water.
The forecast until Tuesday is very bleak to say the least. After the warm front moves out and temperatures drop into the teens, the bay will firm up again quickly. I’ll have a full report for the New Year once heaven freezes up again. Until then it’s ideal conditions for The WILCraft. We have several machines on hand for sale.
