We started out today above zero and white out conditions on Little Bay de Noc. This morning‘s commute from out of the area ended up to be quiet the challenge. Most anglers visiting Blade’s Bait & Tackle this morning had a close call or seen snowstorm vehicular carnage along the way. Once arriving safely anglers found some fish today. Randy sent us a picture of a 39” pike he hooked up with on a jig rod. That had to be fun! Perch and walleye‘s have also been active. Let’s hope this bite continues through the free fishing weekend. Travel on the upper bay remains good despite the blowing snow this morning. Still minimal slush and fairly well packed snow. About 6- 7 inches of snow. 12” or more of ice on the upper bay.
