Well don’t believe every report you hear! Come to find out, it wasn’t a pair of anglers that went through up on Garth point. At any rate….somebody did get wet and emergency was called. The incident had nothing to do with any anglers on the bay. Ice remains at 7-8 inches. The snow on top has bonded with the ice and there’s not as much need for your cleats. Snowmobiles, quads and UTV’s are roaming the upper bay.
Checking the ice with me today was my granddaughter Wilhelmina. I call her Minnie. She really enjoys navigating and is learning how to read the graphs. She wants to know everything there is to know about Little Bay de Noc!
