The overnight low of 8° certainly helped add some ice with very little if any snow on the bay. The pinging and popping sounds made echoes like music throughout the morning.I just love the sound of ice being made. With the snow dumping we had and the warm up that followed, water is flowing under the ice and eating away at it.The volume of water flowing from the rivers into the bay is more than I saw all summer. Which isn’t saying much. It was a dry one. We definitely need some low temps. By noon today, the snow started and dropped about 4 inches. The forecast remains favorable for making ice.
