Showers battered the Bay most of the afternoon which has beaten down some of the snow, making travel better and the deep snow is no longer the obstacle it has been. The soggy day hasn’t dampened the mood of anglers though. Just their gear. In fact, we’ve heard multiple accounts of big walleye and pike being landed today. Pretty sure it’s game on for the rest of the walleye season. Tributaries into Little Bay de Noc are thawing and refreezing daily and are running like maple syrup. Increased water flowing triggers the fish to be active. There was no sunrise to be seen this morning as the storm came in from the South, but I got this cool shot of “Liz’s crew” here from down under the bridge by Cement, MI. Full slush report tomorrow night.
