Ice conditions on Little Bay de Noc can only be described as PERFECTION! So, what could possibly be said about the Bay that hasn’t been said in recent posts? Not much about the ice. How about the incredible number of fish that want nothing to do with what anglers are offering? Some fish are being caught, but not by everyone. Even the most skilled ice anglers are struggling to trigger a bite since this cold snap moved in. The tight-lipped behavior won’t last forever, and the polar vortex is forecasted to move out before the weekend. For the sake of confidence and clarity of the goal, tonight a picture of one of the Bay’s Master perch anglers. Marv sent me these beauties January 11th, an example of what is sure to be happening again soon. Will the extended period of fasting fish come to an end? Likely, and there’s only one way to find out.
